This year's Pride Parade will be a high-profile parade through the Johannesburg city centre on the 25th September 1999,with a 5 minute stop in Hillbrow to remember those who lost the struggle against HIV/AIDS, and in particular Simon Nkoli, the man whostarted it all, and who sadly passed away last year on the eve of WorldAIDS Day.

The Mardi Gras will be held in the Newtown Cultural District, of which theElectric Workshop is a part.
