Johannesburg

PRIDE 2000 Johannesburg Mardi Gras and Afterparty will be held in the Heartland in Braamfontein. The Heartland Association (Therapy, New Moon Café, AKWA and Fly) has all offered their full support and extended their assistance in helping to make the event safe and accessible for all parties concerned, including the general public at large.

The VIP Area at the Johannesburg Mardi Gras and Afterparty will be Club Therapy.

Normal tickets will be on sale at a price of R 20.00, VIP tickets will be on sale at a price of R 120.00 per person.

Tickets to the Mardi Gras and Afterparty are available through CompuTicket from 15 August onwards.

Cape Town

The Cape Town Mardi Gras will be an all-day event held in the gay village around Somerset Street in Green Point. All the current venues will be used for this event.

Stalls

A number of stall sites, both at the PARADE and at the MARDI GRAS Venue, will be available to anyone who wants to take these up for either:

• Vending of food
• Vending of any products you choose, subject to final approval by the Event Manager.

We hope to also welcome flea market 'types' of stalls to add to the carnival atmosphere we wish to create at both venues (the start and end point of the Parade, as well as the After-Party venue).

Please note that NO stalls will be permitted to sell any form of liquor whatsoever.
